Sailing Channel Shows Off Unusual Solar Install on Aluminum Catamaran
Original: The Most Unusual Solar Install You’ve Ever Seen? (Pt. 1) Aluminum Catamaran Build 92
The crew behind the sailing series SV Delos have shared the first part of a solar installation on their aluminum catamaran currently under construction, calling it one of the most unusual setups they have attempted. The episode is part of an ongoing build series documenting the boat's construction, with part one focusing on the mounting and wiring of the panels.
Why now: Fans of the long-running sailing series are following the catamaran build closely, and an unconventional solar setup on an ocean-going boat naturally draws attention from the off-grid and marine energy communities.
