Original: BREAKING: BILLIONAIRE JACK DORSEY'S BITCHAT JUST BECAME THE MOST DOWNLOADED APP IN FRANCE THE APP THAT LETS YOU SEND #BI

Bitchat, the Bluetooth-based messaging app backed by billionaire Jack Dorsey that allows users to send Bitcoin without an internet connection, has become the most downloaded app on France's App Store. The surge coincides with protests sweeping the country, with supporters calling it 'freedom tech' that works when networks are down.

Why now: Its jump to number one during nationwide protests and internet disruption fears has made it a symbol of offline communication tools.
