The claim that we live inside a 1970 sci-fi film
Original: We are all living inside of an obscure sci-fi film from 1970
A blog essay argues that everyday modern life uncannily mirrors an obscure science fiction film released in 1970, suggesting the movie anticipated contemporary technology, politics, or culture. It has drawn attention on discussion forums, with readers debating how often speculative fiction from that era appears to have foreseen the present, and which other overlooked films deserve similar reappraisal.
Why now: Readers are drawn to the recurring idea that half-century-old science fiction seems to predict present-day reality.
