Deadly bus crash and building collapse hit Kenya headlines
Original: nairobi
Kenya is reeling from two disasters. A bus crashed at Mtito Andei on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, with reports that a pastor escaped death after a timely phone call took him off the vehicle. Separately, a building collapsed in Nairobi's Eastleigh neighbourhood, and rescue teams worked through the night searching for people trapped in the rubble.
Why now: Two fatal disasters in quick succession are dominating Kenyan news and social conversation.
