Museum Wiesbaden shines a light on the forgotten women of the Blue Rider

Original: die blauen reiterinnen

Museum Wiesbaden has opened an exhibition on the 'Blauen Reiterinnen', the women artists associated with the Blue Rider movement, which German media are calling a genuine discovery. The opening drew attention after actress Iris Berben attended, and the show is being praised for bringing long-overlooked figures of early modernism out of the shadows of their male counterparts like Kandinsky and Marc.

Why now: A major new exhibition in Wiesbaden is drawing press coverage and celebrity attention for rediscovering the women of the Blue Rider movement.
