Developer Ioan Beilic has introduced FlickerTalk, a private messaging app for Android that requires no account or phone number. Users add contacts by scanning a QR code or sharing a link, and chat history stays on the device rather than on company servers. The app supports texts, files, voice messages, and voice and video calls.

Why now: Privacy-focused messaging without accounts or phone numbers is a topic of ongoing interest, and a new indie entry is drawing attention.
