Russell Westbrook draws Thunder and LA city honors

Original: russell westbrook

Russell Westbrook is back in the news from two angles. Los Angeles city council members honored the retired NBA star in a ceremony recognizing his career, while Thunder general manager Sam Presti, asked whether Westbrook could return to Oklahoma City, said he had not thought about anything relative to the roster spot. Fans are debating whether a reunion with the Thunder is realistic.

Why now: A civic honor in Los Angeles and Presti's noncommittal comments on a possible Thunder reunion are driving fresh speculation about his future.
