Original: Presentation of letters of credence to the President of the European Council António Costa and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen
New ambassadors to the European Union formally presented their letters of credence at ceremonies held before European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels. The diplomatic ritual, by which ambassadors are officially accredited to the EU institutions, is part of the regular calendar of diplomacy in the bloc and signals the continuing flow of new envoys taking up posts with the Union.
