Mobile Linux argued to offer advantages over AOSP

A new blog post argues that mobile Linux is a more viable long-term path to user empowerment and freedom than AOSP, Google's open-source Android codebase. The piece contends that AOSP remains tied to Google's ecosystem, while independent Linux-based mobile platforms could give users greater control over their devices. The argument is being shared and debated among free-software enthusiasts.

Why now: Ongoing debate about Google's control over Android and interest in alternatives like mobile Linux distributions.
