Ghanaians slam MTN data prices as unfair

Original: MTN gives you only 11.92GB for 130ghc, the same 130ghc gives you 320GB, unlimited calls, Unlimited text, and an addition

A complaint circulating in Ghana says that 130 cedis buys only about 11.92GB of data on MTN's local bundles, while the same amount can secure 320GB, unlimited calls and texts plus 15GB of roaming data in Italy. Critics are calling local data pricing 'robbery' and urging Communications Minister Sam George to intervene quickly over the cost of internet access.

Why now: Mounting frustration in Ghana over high data costs and pressure on the government to force telecom operators to cut prices.

• MTN gives you only 11.92GB for 130ghc, the same 130ghc gives you 320GB, unlimited calls, Unlimited text, and an additional 15GB as Roaming in Italy. Data bundles prices are just robbery in Ghana, and Sam George should do something ASAP. · tech_twi · 1.7K
