The American Prospect reports that a flight presented as a rescue mission is, according to documents, actually planned as another immigrant deportation operation by ICE. The reporting suggests immigrants would be expelled to Equatorial Guinea under the guise of the evacuation flight. Critics are highlighting the discrepancy between the flight's stated purpose and the paperwork behind it, fueling debate over the administration's deportation practices.
Why now: Fresh reporting contradicts the official framing of the flight, sparking outrage over US deportation tactics.
