Retired UPenn professor arrested after blocking Uber delivery robot
A retired University of Pennsylvania professor was arrested after allegedly blocking an Uber delivery robot, according to The Cool Down. The incident has drawn attention to growing tensions between pedestrians and autonomous sidewalk delivery robots operating in US cities, as well as questions about how people may lawfully interact with the machines.
Why now: The unusual collision of an academic protest-style act with expanding commercial robot delivery services has made the story a talking point.
