Original: conor mcgregor

Conor McGregor has announced plans for a return to MMA, describing it as his 'last dance' and taking a swipe at boxing champion Canelo Alvarez. The news comes alongside Floyd Mayweather teasing a potential boxing rematch with the Irish fighter, four years after their first money-spinning crossover bout. Both developments have put the former two-division UFC champion back at the centre of combat sports discussion.

Why now: McGregor simultaneously announced a UFC return and is linked to a possible Mayweather rematch, driving fresh speculation about his fighting future.
