Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi horror classic Alien is being shown on the Omni Theater's giant dome screen at the Museum of Science in Boston on Friday and Saturday nights, October 23-24, with tickets priced at $15. The joking reference to it as a "classic comedy flick" reflects the film's reputation for startling audiences, amplified by the immersive dome format.

Why now: A beloved horror classic is getting a limited immersive big-screen run, giving fans a novel way to see it.
