Mystery mailers to Texas teens spark concern

A Wyoming-registered company is sending unsolicited text messages and mailers to teenagers in Texas, purportedly from the Transgender Education Network of Texas. A Southeast Texas family received an LGBTQ student guide they never requested, raising questions about who is behind the mailings and why the group's name is being used. The organization reportedly has no connection to the materials, and residents are being warned not to assume the mailers are legitimate.
Why now: A political mail campaign using a nonprofit's name without apparent consent is raising alarm in a heated Texas political climate.
