Hockenheim in talks with F1 despite virtually zero public funding
Original: Hockenheim in talks with F1 despite “virtually zero” public funding
Hockenheim circuit officials say they are in discussions with Formula 1 about a potential return of the German Grand Prix, even though the track is receiving virtually no public funding to support a race deal. The news revives speculation about F1's future in Germany, which has not hosted a grand prix at the venue since 2019.
Why now: Talks about a possible German Grand Prix return naturally excite motorsport fans given F1's absence from Germany in recent years.
