Original: andrae wright flock system searches
Flock Safety, the US surveillance company known for its automated license plate reader network, is facing questions about its relationships with police departments. In remarks reported by TechCrunch, the company's chief executive rejected suggestions that Flock has 'fired' any law enforcement agencies as customers, pushing back on criticism of how the firm manages and terminates its contracts.
Why now: Ongoing scrutiny of Flock Safety's ties to police departments and its surveillance practices has put the CEO's comments in the spotlight.
