The Disasters Emergency Committee says it has spent the past two years appealing for public support for people affected by devastating crises in the Middle East. The group thanks donors whose generosity has enabled the lifesaving work of its member charities responding in Gaza and Lebanon. The message underscores ongoing humanitarian needs as aid organisations continue delivering assistance amid the region's prolonged emergencies.

Why now: The DEC is publicly thanking donors and highlighting continuing humanitarian crises in Gaza and Lebanon, prompting discussion of the appeal's impact.
