President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine does not use Starlink for operations inside Russia, but relies on it to intercept jet-powered Iranian-made Shahed drones attacking Ukrainian civilians. He claimed Starlink was not switched off but had its speed reduced, which he said prevented Ukrainian forces from intercepting a number of drones, drawing renewed scrutiny of Elon Musk's satellite service in the war.

Why now: Zelensky publicly accused Starlink of reduced speeds hampering Ukraine's air defences against Russian drone attacks.
