A trade proposal is circulating in Japanese baseball media suggesting the Los Angeles Dodgers could acquire Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz, framed with the headline 'who could refuse?'. The speculation involves the Dodgers sending young prospect Josue De Paula, with Joey Votto and Shohei Ohtani also mentioned in the discussion. No official talks have been confirmed; it remains a fan and media-driven concept.
Why now: De La Cruz's star power plus the Dodgers' reputation for pursuing elite talent makes a blockbuster trade scenario a hot topic among MLB fans.
