Phil Foden scores hat trick in Man City rout but says best is yet to come

Original: Phil Foden: Still 'long way' from my best despite hat trick in Man City rout

Phil Foden scored a hat trick in Manchester City's emphatic win, but the England midfielder insisted afterwards that he is still a long way from his best form. Foden said he is working to return to the level that saw him named Premier League Player of the Season, framing the treble as a step in his recovery rather than proof he is back at his peak.

Why now: Foden's hat trick in a big City win, paired with his surprisingly modest self-assessment, is drawing attention from fans and pundits.
