Suspicious smell leads to cannabis greenhouse discovery in Doubs
Original: odeur
Police in the Doubs region of eastern France uncovered a cannabis operation after neighbours noticed a suspicious smell coming from a house. A search revealed 16 cannabis plants being grown under a greenhouse on the property. The case, reported by Ouest-France, has drawn local attention to how easily home cultivation can be detected by odour alone.
Why now: The unusual detail that a smell alone exposed the illegal cannabis cultivation is catching readers' attention.
