UK consumer finance expert Martin Lewis has voiced frustration after being asked what he intends to do about the situation in France. In a blunt reply, he pointed out that he is a consumer finance specialist in the UK, with no role or expertise in French affairs. The exchange drew tens of thousands of engagements and is also being widely discussed in France, where commenters are debating the odd expectation that a British money expert should respond to French matters.
Why now: The sharp, exasperated reply from a well-known UK finance figure went viral, with users amused by the misplaced question.
