Gardeners share alpine aster blooms and visiting butterflies
Original: # Oresostemma apligenum, Alpine aster, Plebejus ... maybe icarioides? butterfly # garden # gardening # flowers # horticu
Gardeners and nature photographers are sharing photos of the alpine aster, Oresostemma apligenum, in bloom, along with a small blue butterfly tentatively identified as Plebejus icarioides, the Boisduval's blue. The post is part of the popular 'bloomscrolling' trend, where people post images of flowers, gardens and wildlife, inviting others to help confirm the butterfly species.
Why now: Flower and butterfly photography posts draw engagement from gardening and botany communities, especially when species identification is uncertain.
