Knicks opener tickets soar for banner night and LeBron's 76ers debut
Original: Tickets for Knicks' MSG opener to see NBA title banner raising, LeBron James' 76ers debut hitting record-setting prices
Tickets for the New York Knicks' season opener at Madison Square Garden are reaching record-setting prices, driven by two draws: the raising of an NBA championship banner and LeBron James' debut with the Philadelphia 76ers. Resale demand for the game is reportedly among the highest ever recorded for a regular-season opener at the venue.
Why now: The combination of a banner-raising ceremony and LeBron James' first game with a new team has created extraordinary ticket demand.
