UK consumer finance expert Martin Lewis has hit back at people demanding he address the situation in France, asking why they expect a British money specialist on social media to respond to it. His blunt reply drew tens of thousands of likes and is circulating widely in both the UK and France, with users debating whether public commentators should speak on unrelated international events.
Why now: His blunt refusal to comment on events in France struck a chord with people frustrated by demands for public figures to react to every news story.
