Zelenskyy meets Trump envoys amid dispute over withdrawn US support
Original: Zelenskyy meets with Trump envoys as U.S. blasts ‘scandalous’ accusations on withdrawn support
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held talks with envoys representing US President Donald Trump, at a time when Washington is pushing back strongly against claims that American support for Kyiv has been pulled back. US officials dismissed those suggestions as 'scandalous' accusations, insisting assistance has not been withdrawn, while the meeting itself is being closely watched for signals about the state of US-Ukraine relations.
Why now: Ongoing concerns over the future of US support for Ukraine in its war with Russia are keeping attention on every high-level contact between the two governments.
