Original: BBC Three officially being shut down for a second time, broadcaster confirms https:// fed.brid.gy/r/https://metro.co .uk
The BBC has confirmed that BBC Three will be closed for a second time, according to a report by Metro. The youth-focused channel was originally taken off air as a broadcast service in 2016 and relaunched in 2022. The decision to close it again has drawn attention to the corporation's ongoing struggles with its linear TV channels and shifting audiences to online platforms.
Why now: The BBC's confirmation that BBC Three is being closed again is surprising news given its relaunch only a few years ago.
