Sports journalists accused of silence on WNBA anthem protest
Original: Sports journalists stay silent on WNBA national anthem protest and high school cross country dispute | OutKick
OutKick, the commentary outlet founded by Clay Travis, is accusing mainstream sports journalists of ignoring two stories: a WNBA national anthem protest and a dispute involving a high school cross country team. The outlet frames the lack of coverage as evidence of a double standard in sports media, arguing that stories seen as politically inconvenient receive far less attention than others.
Why now: Debates over perceived political bias and selective coverage in sports media continue to draw strong reactions from conservative audiences.
