Physicists propose new explanation for matter's survival after Big Bang
Original: Physicists propose a new explanation for why matter survived the Big Bang
Physicists have put forward a new explanation for one of cosmology's biggest puzzles: why matter survived the Big Bang. According to current theories, matter and antimatter should have annihilated each other completely, leaving an empty universe. The new proposal, reported by Earth.com, offers a possible answer to this asymmetry, and it is drawing attention among science readers.
Why now: New theoretical work addresses a long-standing open question in cosmology about why the universe contains matter at all.
