Ash Gardner joins rare club with all-round T20I display
Original: Australian women who have scored 80+ runs and taken two or more wickets in the same T20I: Karen Rolton 96* & 2-26 v ENG
Australia's Ash Gardner scored 84 and took 2-17 against New Zealand at North Sydney Oval, becoming only the third Australian woman to score 80-plus runs and take two or more wickets in the same T20 international. She joins Tahlia McGrath, who made 91 not out and took 3-26 against England in Adelaide in 2022, and the great Karen Rolton, who hit 96 not out and claimed 2-26 against England at Taunton in 2005.
Why now: Gardner's all-round performance placed her alongside two of Australian women's cricket's most celebrated performances, prompting fans to relist the rare achievement.
