Families of slain Gaza hostages accuse Netanyahu of political exploitation
Original: 'Their bodies returned in coffins': Families of hostages killed in Gaza demand PM stop using them for political gain
Families of hostages killed in Gaza, whose bodies were returned in coffins, have publicly demanded that the prime minister stop invoking their loved ones for political gain. The families say their grief is being exploited in political messaging, turning private mourning into a public confrontation with the government over how the hostages' deaths are being used in national discourse.
Why now: The families' public accusation against the prime minister has reignited debate over the politicisation of the hostages' fate.
