New Income Calculator Shows Who Really Counts as Upper Class in Germany
Original: einkommensrechner
A German income calculator is drawing attention alongside new data on how income is distributed across society. The discussion centres on the question of what salary actually puts someone in the upper class in Germany, with WELT reporting on the income thresholds that separate the middle class from the top of the social pyramid. Many Germans are using the tool to check where their own household income places them compared with the rest of the population.
Why now: People are curious to see whether their own income qualifies as upper class based on current German income distribution figures.
