Aid groups warn of winter humanitarian crisis in Gaza
Original: Spendet bitte an GAZA! Es wird Winter, Zelte, Matrazen, Decken, Kleidung, Wasser, Taschenlampen, ... fehlt!! Israel brau
Calls are circulating in German-speaking online spaces urging donations for Gaza as winter approaches, listing urgently needed items such as tents, mattresses, blankets, clothing, water and flashlights. Commenters say Israel is blocking aid deliveries and argue international pressure on Israel must increase, citing an ORF report on the deteriorating humanitarian situation and the risk of hunger and cold for displaced residents.
Why now: Cold winter conditions are worsening the humanitarian situation in Gaza and aid organisations are appealing for donations and pressure to let supplies through.
