Political clash breaks out at Brazil's UFRN university

Original: ufrn

A political event at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) in Natal, Brazil, ended in a confrontation between right-wing and left-wing groups. Local outlet Tribuna do Norte reported the confusion that broke out during the act, which drew attention to rising political tension on Brazilian campuses.

Why now: Ongoing political polarisation in Brazil is making clashes between right- and left-wing groups at public universities a talking point.
