Linux replacing Windows on RTX Spark laptop over Microsoft account
Original: Putting Linux on my RTX Spark laptop because I don't have a Microsoft account
A developer has written about installing Linux on an Nvidia RTX Spark laptop, citing the refusal to create a Microsoft account as the reason for dropping Windows. The write-up is drawing attention on Hacker News, where commenters are debating Microsoft's push toward online accounts and the state of Linux support for new Nvidia hardware.
Why now: Frustration with Microsoft's account requirements on new Windows machines keeps driving users to share their switch to Linux.
