Original: Moscow Jewish Museum’s Tolerance Center Receives Special Consultative Status at the United Nations
The Tolerance Center at Moscow's Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center has been granted special consultative status at the United Nations, according to the Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS. The status allows the center to engage formally with UN bodies, including the Economic and Social Council, and participate in international human rights and tolerance-related discussions. It marks a notable recognition of the center's work on combating discrimination and promoting interethnic dialogue.
Why now: The UN accreditation is a significant recognition of a Russian institution at a time of strained Russia-West relations.
