The World Food Programme is reducing food assistance to roughly 500,000 Palestinians in Gaza because of funding shortages, cutting support just as winter approaches. Officials warn the shortfall will deepen hunger in a territory already facing severe shortages, and aid groups are urging donor countries to close the funding gap.
Why now: People are reacting to a major aid cut compounding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as winter begins.
