"Better a fat pig than a fascist": Porco Rosso quote resurfaces

Original: " Il vaut mieux être un gros porc qu'un fasciste " Porco Rosso dans le film éponyme de Myazaki. # film # Myazaki # fasci

A line from Hayao Miyazaki's 1992 animated film Porco Rosso is being quoted in French: "It is better to be a fat pig than a fascist." In the film, the pilot Marco Pagot, cursed with a pig's face, utters the words as a rejection of Italian fascism. The quote is being shared as a pointed political statement, with commenters using it to signal opposition to fascism.

Why now: The quote is circulating as a timely anti-fascist statement in current political debates.
