It's Still OK to Enjoy Programming
An essay by Chris Kiehl argues that programming remains worth loving despite the pressure, churn and cynicism that have crept into software culture. The piece strikes a chord with developers, who have pushed it into heated discussion about burnout, industry pessimism and whether it is still legitimate to treat coding as something joyful rather than purely instrumental.
Why now: Developers are debating burnout and cynicism in software culture, and the essay's contrarian optimism resonates right now.
