Trend Micro unveils ¥10 billion cyber defense support package

Original: トレンドマイクロ

Trend Micro has announced a support package worth around 10 billion yen in response to a sharp rise in cyberattacks. The news lands amid heightened security alarm in Japan: reports cover AI-driven attack tools that evade safeguards, growing unauthorized access incidents exposing personal data, and a ruling-party proposal for a government emergency headquarters to coordinate ministries during cyber crises.

Why now: Cyberattack concerns in Japan are surging, and Trend Micro's major new funding pledge adds to the momentum.
