Romanian jets shoot down two drones over Black Sea

Original: geran-4

Romanian fighter jets have shot down two drones over the Black Sea, according to DW. The incident is being linked to the Russian 'Geran' drone family, including the newer Geran-4 model being discussed online. It has drawn attention because drone debris or incursions into NATO member Romania's airspace would mark a significant escalation of the war's spillover beyond Ukraine's borders.

Why now: Reports that drones apparently of Russian origin were downed near or inside NATO-member Romanian airspace are raising alarm about the war in Ukraine spilling over.
