Dutch energy suppliers Vattenfall, Eneco and Engie have ended their partnerships with third-party sales intermediaries following a Radar investigation. The companies acted after it emerged that call centres were posing as their customer service in Google advertisements and pressuring consumers by phone, leading them to break off cooperation with the between parties involved.

Why now: The consumer programme Radar exposed misleading call centres impersonating energy suppliers, prompting the companies to act.
