Vancouver school board candidates pressed on AI in classrooms
Original: Tech CEOs: "AI is inevitable." Voters in Vancouver, electing new school board trustees: # noai # ai # education # canada
As technology executives insist that artificial intelligence adoption is inevitable, voters in Vancouver are heading into school board trustee elections where resistance to AI in education has become a rallying point. Campaign messaging under the noAI banner is pushing back against the industry narrative, making classroom AI use a live election issue in the city's school politics.
Why now: Vancouver's school board elections have turned AI in education into a contested campaign issue, contrasting voter pushback with tech industry claims of inevitability.
