California newspapers urge voters to reject Proposition 39
Original: BANG endorsement: Reject Prop. 39 and keep Donald Trump’s election paranoia out of California
Editorial boards in the Bay Area News Group chain, including the Marin Independent Journal, are urging California voters to reject Proposition 39, arguing the measure would echo Donald Trump's unfounded claims of widespread election fraud and inject election paranoia into the state's voting rules. The endorsements frame the proposition as a threat to public confidence in California elections.
Why now: The measure is on California's ballot and editorials are weighing in ahead of the vote.
