Ukraine strikes Russian bot farm linked to pro-MAGA accounts
Original: Ukraine STRIKES Russian Bot Farm... MAGA Trolls Suddenly DISAPPEAR
Ukraine has carried out an operation against a Russian bot farm, and reports suggest that many pro-MAGA social media accounts suddenly went quiet afterward. The implication being drawn is that some accounts presenting themselves as American supporters of Donald Trump were in fact Russian-run fake personas. The claim is fueling fresh debate about foreign interference in US political discourse and how much of the online MAGA conversation may be inauthentic.
Why now: The apparent link between a Russian disinformation operation and the sudden silence of prominent pro-Trump accounts has reignited concerns about foreign meddling in American politics.
