Gwalior temple tragedy: shrine panel calls for SIT probe into suspected terror attack

Original: Gwalior temple tragedy: Shrine panel suspects ‘terror attack’, seeks SIT probe

The shrine management committee connected with the Gwalior temple tragedy has described the incident as a suspected terror attack and is demanding a Special Investigation Team probe. The committee's intervention escalates the case beyond a routine accident inquiry, and local debate in Madhya Pradesh is now focused on whether state police will agree to hand the investigation to an SIT.

Why now: The shrine panel's demand for an SIT and its terror attack framing have turned the temple tragedy into a contested, politically sensitive investigation.
