Hacker News users report spam wave in 'Who Wants to be hired' threads
Original: Tell HN: Massive amount of spam from "Who Wants to be hired"
Users on Hacker News are flagging what they describe as a massive amount of spam appearing in the site's monthly 'Who Wants to be hired' threads, where job seekers post their details for recruiters. The complaint, posted on the forum itself, has drawn attention and agreement from other readers, raising concerns about moderation of the hiring threads.
Why now: Tech workers and recruiters rely on these monthly hiring threads, so a surge of spam directly affects a widely used community resource.
