Donald Trump, who spent years claiming that mail-in voting is corrupt and fraudulent, is now encouraging its use. Al Jazeera's Noor Wazwaz examined the reversal, which marks a notable change from the former president's long-standing public attacks on postal ballots. Observers are questioning what prompted the shift and what it means for his party's approach to upcoming elections.
Why now: The reversal contradicts Trump's years of attacks on mail-in voting, making it a surprising and debated political about-face.
