Airtel launches new voice-only prepaid plans after TRAI directive
Original: airtel voice only prepaid plans
Airtel has introduced three new prepaid plans in India that offer only voice calls and SMS, without bundled data, following a directive from the telecom regulator TRAI. Business Today reports the packs rolled out this week. The move is being watched closely as it could reduce costs for users who do not need mobile data on their prepaid connections.
Why now: TRAI recently directed telecom operators to offer voice-only plans, and Airtel is the first major operator to comply, prompting widespread interest among Indian consumers.
